After years of not posting on my previous two Wordpress websites, this third one is the charm.. using WIX. I'm fairly new to the platform, but can't be any worse than before. Well, let's go.
QUICK THING ABOUT ME
I started drawing as a kid and haven't stopped since. I specialize in visual branding and apparel design. I continue to draw and even get commissioned to do murals. I hope to learn some 3D skills to implement on my graphic design projects, learn some animation for cool personal projects, and master airbrush for creating eye-catching murals.
BACK IN THE DAY
It is way easier and faster to create now, back then, things took time. For instance, before the ipad, my process was painfully long. Just to create a tee design with a custom drawn mascot, it took hours and hours in the day. Here was my process:
Unhinge a photo hanging from the wall and remove the glass.
Grab a lamp, remove the lamp shade, and place it on the floor.
Place computer paper on the glass, prop it on your knees sitting down, and make sure the lamp is in place between your feet.
Draw the basic shapes of the character. Rough Draft.
Next, on a new computer paper over the rough draft, draw in the details.
Optional, repeat the last step for more defined details.
Scan the final sketch.
Open the art in Photoshop and trace away. I didn't have Adobe Illustrator.
Hours later, send artwork to print.
Nowadays, the ipad is my weapon of choice. My process became quicker and I get to do what I love.
